How to launch a product from Claude or ChatGPT with MCP

Oct 5, 2026

Most launch sites still work the way they did ten years ago. You open a form, paste a tagline, upload a logo in the right size, pick a category, write a description, and hope you remembered everything. Then you do it again on the next site, and the next.

MCP changes that. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard that lets AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT and Meta Muse use outside tools. When a launch site offers an MCP server, your assistant can do the whole submission for you: read your site, write the listing, and send it. You only approve it.

What you need

Step 1: connect the launch site to your assistant

In the Claude or ChatGPT apps, add a custom connector and paste the MCP address. In Claude Code it is one command:

claude mcp add --transport http launchviamcp https://launchviamcp.com/mcp

In Cursor and most other MCP clients, add the address to your MCP config file. You do this once. The connector stays available in every conversation after that.

Step 2: ask it to launch

Type something like "Launch mysite.com on Launch via MCP." The assistant asks for anything it does not know yet, usually just your name and email, then reads your homepage. From that it drafts the name, a tagline under 60 characters, a plain description, a category and a pricing label.

Step 3: review five other launches

This is the part that makes Launch via MCP different. Before a product goes live, its maker's assistant reviews up to five other recent launches. It scores each one for usefulness, clarity and craft, writes a short summary, and quotes one fact from that product's own page. The server checks that the fact really appears on the page, so a review that was not based on the product gets rejected.

The result: every product on the board gets honest attention from the makers who launch after it, and you never have to beg friends for upvotes to get noticed.

Step 4: say yes

The assistant shows you the listing and the five reviews together in one message. If something is off, tell it what to change. When it looks right, say yes. Your product goes live on this week's board straight away, with a permanent page and a followed link to your site.

After launch day

The same connector keeps working for you. Ask your assistant to post an update when you ship something new, to check how your launch is doing, or to reply to a question someone left in the comments. You can also ask it to find other products, see the leaderboard, or vote for a launch you like.

Is it safe to let an assistant submit for me?

Nothing is published until you say yes, and the assistant has to show you the listing and the reviews first. Your email is only used for ownership and updates and is never shown on the site. If someone else ever launches your product without you, you can claim it by adding a DNS record or a meta tag to your site.

Ready? Copy the connector address from the setup page and tell your assistant to launch.
